Modern Baby Shower

Planning to shower this Momma-To-Be was so much fun. We knew from the beginning that we didn't want a typical pale pink and white baby shower theme and also wanted it to be a very intimate gathering where everyone had a chance to sit around one table to talk and exchange stories. From there we landed on a casual Sunday brunch loaded with all of the delicious eats including savory crepes, a yogurt bar, pastries, delicious banana bread from one of our favorite local bakeries Goldenrod Pastries and savory mini croissant sandwiches. Of course we couldn't forget the lovely gold leaf decorated cake that was also from Goldenrod Pastries that had layers of fresh strawberries inside. It doesn't get much better than this.

For the table we lined the center of the table with a natural silk runner from Silk & Willow and topped it with a variety of vases filled with pink, white and blush blooms. Under the vases were layers of greens monstera leaves which were the backdrop for the modern tropical invitations designed by Miranda Writes. We're in love with the design and how everything turned out! Miranda also created our place cards that you see at each place setting which we have propped up on a flower frog. The remainder of the table is filled with the place settings which we kept clean and simple. Slate chargers, sleek white/gold flatware, blush knotted napkins and a blush drinking goblet.

As with every shower or party that we plan there has to be an activity for the guests and this one was no exception. Since we were showering a momma-to-be we thought it would only be fitting to pamper her and her guests essential oil bath salts. We created a custom bath salt experience where we took each guest one at a time and crafted an essential oil bath salt unique for them with scents that they picked out and mixed together. Then we bottle it up in their own jar for them to take home along with their favor which was a baby succulent potted in a modern white container for them to 'watch it grow'.
